ABOUT THE FILM

A folk legend that spread through the Arab villages during the days of Ottoman rule tells of a mysterious old man who steals naughty children. Residents of a village become about a child who is missing. Ahmad, with his strange manners and black dress, is suspected of being the kidnapper. Yet, there is good reason for his behavior - his brother Khalil, a refugee from Lebanon, has just snuck into the village - but revealing it would threaten his life and the lives of those around him. Buried under the legend, the characters are brought to life in an imaginary reality.
