Anaheed Al-Hardan is an assistant professor of sociology in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Media Studies at the American University of Beirut. She serves on the advisory board of the Palestinian Oral History Archive at AUB and is a policy member of al-Shabaka: The Palestinian Policy Network. Her book Palestinians in Syria has been shortlisted for the 2016 Middle East Monitor Palestine Book Awards. Her new research project examines Arab decolonial theory within the context of south-south philosophies of liberation and decolonization.
